- Marriage Licence Allegations:
Faculty Office 1701-1850
8th January 1793:
Appeared personally John Hicks BOORMAN of the Parish of Saint Mary, Aldermanbury, London, a Bachelor aged twenty-one years and upwards and intendeth to marry with Jane MARTYR of the Parish of Saint Lawrence , Pountney, London, a Spinster of the age of twenty-one years and upwards and that he knoweth of no lawful Impediment, by Reason of any Precontact, Consanguinity, Affinity, or any other lawful Means whatsoever, to hinder the said intended Marriage, and prayed a Licence to solemnize the same in hither of the aforesaid Parish Churches and further made Oath that the usual Place of Abode of her the said Jane MARTYR or him the Appearer hath been in the said Parishes of Saint Mary and Saint Lawrence aforesaid for the Space of four Weeks past.
