- Samuel Wise Hingston Hornibrook, husband of Eva Marter - see Naturalization applications attached. Despite saying he was married to Eva, Eva does not appear in the 1920 or 1930 US census, in fact Samuel turns up living as a boarder in California (sans Eva) in both of those census returns. In 1930 he is boarding with the people who were witnesses on his naturalization application. He died in Florida on the 15th or 1st of Feb 1975 (depending on whether you believe the SS index or the Florida deaths index). Eva died in Canada and was in Canada in the 1940s because Mary Jane remembers her in Gravenhurst when Mary Jane's family visited one time.

I am married: the name of my wife is Eva: she was born at Ontario, Canada and now resides at Ontario, Canada. I arrived at the port of Port Huron in the State of Michigan on or about the 30th day of August 1914. Subscribed and sworn to before me in the office of the Clerk of the said Court at Los Angeles, Cal., this 11th day of August 1926.
